Corporate governance

In our own operations, PIC adheres to the code of corporate practices and conduct within “King Code II”, the King Report on Corporate Governance for South Africa 2002. At the same time, we also advocate responsible governance and sound management in the entities in which we invest.

To ensure consistency between these entities, PIC and fund managers that invest on our behalf, we have developed and adopted a comprehensive Corporate Governance and Proxy Voting Policy. This policy details the principles and practices that PIC considers desirable on the part of stakeholders, including company directors, auditors and black economic empowerment partners.
